Conventions Huntington Beach Arrival Opening Event Saturday Cosplay Kimono Demo CLAMP Panel Sunday Cosplay Dealer's Room Movie Premieres Monday Cosplay Events

Never, in the 10 years I have been attending conventions, did I ever have to wait until the second day to check out the dealer's room. For one, the line just to get in on Saturday practically wrapped around the building. The other reason was just that there was so much to see and do on Saturday that I simply did not have the time.

However, today was relatively calm. Our primary goal for today was to attend two movie premieres, the live-action Azumi later in the afternoon and Patlabor 2 that evening. This left us plenty of time to check out the vendors.

The first booth on every row were major American anime studios. Geneon, Viz, Bandai and ADV Films to mention a few.

Above, ADV folks were tossing t-shirts and bangles out to the crowd. Nothing like the possibility of snatching a free trinket to justify risking life and limb in order to take part.

The last photo below was simply an attempt to show the vast size of the dealers room. Thank goodness that the AX folks left wide passages between the vendor rows in order to handle the huge crowds.
